Donald J. Tomnitz
Donald J. Tomnitz is currently serving as the Executive Chairman of Forestar.
Donald J. Tomnitz is currently serving as the Executive Chairman of Forestar. Prior to Forestar, he served as the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of D. R. Horton, Inc. from November 1998 to September 2014. He was a Vice President in charge of various divisions of D.R. Horton from 1983 until he was elected Vice President-Western Region in 1994. From 1996 until 1998, Mr. Tomnitz was President of the Company’s Homebuilding Division. In 1998, he was elected an Executive Vice President of the Company and in 2000, he became President. Before joining D.R. Horton, Mr. Tomnitz was a Captain in the U.S. Army, a Vice President of RepublicBank of Dallas, N.A., and a Vice President of Crow Development Company, a Trammell Crow Company.
Mr. Tomnitz holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Westminster College and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Western Illinois University.
Samuel R. Fuller
Samuel R. Fuller currently serves as Director of Forestar
Samuel R. Fuller, age 74, has significant experience with D.R. Horton, working at the Company from 1992 until his retirement in 2008. He served as Controller of D.R. Horton from 1995 until his promotion to Chief Financial Officer in 2000 and was a member of the Board of Directors from 2000 until 2003. Mr. Fuller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Oregon and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.
M. Ashton Hudson
M. Ashton Hudson is President and General Counsel of Rock Creek Capital Group, Inc.
M. Ashton Hudson, age 45, is President and General Counsel of Rock Creek Capital Group, Inc., an alternative asset manager with significant land holdings throughout the southeast and a partner and member of the Rock Creek Investment Committee since 2002. Mr. Hudson previously practiced law with the firm of Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP where he focused on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. Mr. Hudson has served on the Board of Directors of Forestar Group Inc. since February 2016. Mr. Hudson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wake Forest and a Juris Doctorate from the Wake Forest School of Law.
G.F. (Rick) Ringler, lll
G.F. (Rick) Ringler, lll currently serves as a Director of Forestar
G. F. (Rick) RIngler, III, age 70, retired in 2012 after a career of 43 years in commercial banking. He has significant experience in commercial and residential real estate construction and development financing. From 2006 until 2012 he served as Senior Vice President – Commercial and Real Estate Lending for Frost Bank. He previously worked with First National Bank of Burleson and Landmark Bank of Fort Worth, among others. Mr. Ringler holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University.
Donald C. Spitzer
Donald C. Spitzer is a member of the Board of Directors of AirBorn, Inc.
Donald C. Spitzer, age 68, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has significant audit experience working at KPMG, a public accounting firm, for 39 years. He served as a National Managing Partner and Partner-in-Charge of KPMG for many years as well as serving on the KPMG Board of Directors from 1997 until 2004. Mr. Spitzer is currently a member of the Board of Directors of AirBorn, Inc. and serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees. Mr. Spitzer holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University.
