Donald J. Tomnitz
Donald J. Tomnitz currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Forestar
Donald J. Tomnitz, age 69, has extensive experience in the homebuilding industry and worked at D.R. Horton, Inc. from 1983 until his retirement in 2014. During his career, he served as Chief Executive Officer from 1998 and President from 2000 until his retirement and served on the Board of Directors from 1995 until 2014. Mr. Tomnitz previously was a Captain in the U.S. Army, a Vice President of RepublicBank Dallas, N.A. and a Vice President of Crow Development Company, a Trammell Crow company. Mr. Tomnitz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Westminster College and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Western Illinois University.
Phil J. Weber
Chief Executive Officer
Phil J. Weber has served as Chief Executive Officer of Forestar since September 2015.
Mr. Weber has served as our Chief Executive Officer since September 2015. He has served as Chairman of our Real Estate Investment Committee since May 2013, and previously served as Executive Vice President—Water Resources from May 2013 to September 2015 and as Executive Vice President—Real Estate from 2009 to May 2013. Prior to joining Forestar, he served the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) as Senior Vice President—Multifamily from 2006 to October 2009, as Chief of Staff to the CEO from 2004 to 2006, as Chief of Staff to Chairman of the Board and Corporate Secretary from 2005 to 2006, and as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development in 2005.
Charles D. Jehl
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Charles D. Jehl currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Forestar
Chuck is currently serving as our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Prior to this position. Chuck held the position of Executive Vice President - Oil and Gas from 2013 to September, 2015 and Chief Accounting Officer from 2006 to 2013. Additionally, he served as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Guaranty Insurance Services, Inc. from 2005 to 2006, and as Senior Vice President and Controller from 2000 to 2005. From 1989 to 1999, Mr. Jehl held various financial management positions within Temple-Inland’s financial services segment.
A Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas, Chuck received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Concordia Lutheran College at Austin.
